Serving the underserved

Our dedicated teams offer free eye examinations, glasses, diabetic screening, and free medication.

Mobile eye screening aims to provide vital eye care services to underserved urban and rural communities with little or no access to quality eye health services. More complex eye conditions that require further investigation or surgery are referred to our medical specialists in hospitals.

Free eye camps

Sponsored by donors with Zakat and Sadaqah donations, eye screening programmes enable us to screen 500 people in a day. They involve comprehensive preparations, including community awareness and are set up in accessible locations such as community centres, ensuring those most in need can easily attend. Attendees typically include adults and the elderly at higher risk of vision problems.

Patients who require further investigation, specialised treatment, or surgery are referred to the nearest LRBT hospitals. This referral system ensures that individuals receive the comprehensive care necessary to effectively address their specific eye condition.

Sponsor school screening

Academic under-performance can be the result of an underlying, undiagnosed eye condition or impaired vision.

Our sponsored school eye screening programmes seeks to address this issue, offering free eye checks to school children across the country.

Our sponsored school eye screening programmes are conducted in government schools, charitable institutions, and schools in economically disadvantaged areas.

Dedicated Team of Professionals

Our dedicated teams of ophthalmologists and allied health professionals visit schools to assess the eyesight of all children. Those diagnosed with eye ailments receive free treatment, while we also work to raise awareness of eye health among students.

Teacher Training

Additionally, our programmes educate and train teachers to recognise the signs and symptoms of deteriorating eyesight, enabling them to raise concerns with parents and signpost them to LRBT. To date, we have trained over 7,000 teachers, who serve as invaluable allies in promoting eye health.
